Our Philosophy

FlowersWe call ourselves a massage and bodywork studio, as we tend to steer away from the spa template, and instead put all of our focus on the massage itself. Regardless of what you've come in for, our approach is always thoughtful and completely focused on you.

Communicating with clients and aiming to understand what they're hoping to get out of their session is one of our highest priorities. We don't believe that a neck and shoulder massage should cost any different than a full body. If your issues beg for heat, we may integrate a heat pack or some hot stones into your session. If you come in to address only your left shoulder, we will try to gain a full picture of the issue, discuss the various ways to treat it, and assess any potentially related areas. We have many techniques and modalities to choose from within our repertoires, and they are all a part of our customized therapeutic massage.

Our Space

We are very excited and proud of our new space. We put great emphasis on creating a warm and comfortable environment designed to make you feel at home. Our space has multiple treatment rooms as well as a classroom space where we will be holding Pilates and yoga classes, and various workshops geared toward expectant families and people who suffer from various types of body pain and discomfort.

Our Location

We are located in the heart of Fort Greene, Brooklyn — four blocks from the Barclay's Center and the borough's main transit hub at Atlantic Terminal. Nearby trains include the 2, 3, 4, 5, C, Q, B, D, N, R, and G lines. We are located on the lower level at the corner of Lafayette Avenue and South Portland Street.

PamelaPamela is a Licensed Massage Therapist living in New York City. She graduated from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in NYC, and has worked in 5-star spas and with renowned chiropractors and doctors. She knew that she would do massage since the age of 12, when she met a man who had studied massage under a Shaman in Mexico, and has been enthralled since by the combination of energy work with therapeutic touch. She has been trained in aspects of both Western and Eastern Massage, and enjoys communicating with her clients to help them to understand their muscular tensions from emotional, energetic, as well as Western Medical standpoints. She is highly influenced from her years of practicing yoga, and feels that through the rhythmic control of the breath, clients are better able to release tension. This is because it is through this rhythm that we are able to better harmonize the rhythmic pulsations of our heart, and by attaining peace in our heart, we are able to increase blood circulation and achieve acceptance of all the traumas we have endured. This acceptance helps us to confront and to let go of those traumas and leave the massage feeling lighter and more brisk, and better able to receive the benefits of the massage itself.
