customized therapeutic &
medical massage
Instead of having you choose an option from a standardized list, your massage is 100% centered around the conversation you have with your therapist. They will take the time to get to know you, and will always invite openness and communication.
Our LMTs at Melt are trained in numerous modalities and can offer a rich perspective on any issue you've come to address. If you're looking for one modality in particular like a full Thai Massage session, see the section below on “Specialty Massage”.
60-minute therapeutic massage
single session: $140 • 5 pack: $665 • 10 Pack: $1260
90-MINUTE therapeutic massage
single session: $195 • 5 pack: $925 • 10 Pack: $1755
Prenatal Massage
Prenatal massage can alleviate stress and promote relaxation, reduce swelling and high blood pressure, relieve musculoskeletal pain and strain, contribute to shorter, less painful labor, and facilitate postpartum recovery.
Therapists spend time before each session trying to learn as much as possible about your unique situation, and as your pregnancy progresses, shape the massage according to whatever your specific issues are at that time.
Prenatal massages are typically performed in the side-lying position with lots of pillows and bolstering techniques that many pregnant people recreate on their beds at home because it is so very comfy!
60-minute Prenatal Massage
single session: $150 • 5 pack: $710 • 10 Pack: $1350
90-minute Prenatal massage
single session: $205 • 5 pack: $970 • 10 Pack: $1845
Specialty Massage
For a long time we hesitated to add another category of massage because we believe that most of the time the modality doesn’t matter nearly as much as the conversation between the client and the therapist. That said, sometimes you know that you want or need something very specific and since many of our therapists have specialized and additional training, we’re now offering those modalities under the umbrella of “Specialty Massage”. Take a look below and see if any of these are right for you!

Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle technique that uses a patient and light touch to manipulate the connective tissues especially at the base of the skull and spine. This encourages small movements that allow for smoothly flowing cerebrospinal fluid. This freedom of movement supports relaxation and reduces pain. It does not force change upon the client but instead allows the person being worked upon to open up and find natural adjustments within themselves with the support of a trained therapist. The treatment is done fully clothed, lying face up on the table. It is the perfect treatment for those who need support right now but may not be ready to be manipulated and palpated by traditional massage methods.
Hot Stone Massage
Hot Stone Massage is a massage technique that uses hot stones to soothe and relax the muscles. Heat therapy has been shown to coax chronically held muscles and connective tissues into new patterns, enhance flexibility and ease of movement, and reduce pain. It also just feels really good.
Manual Lymph Drainage
Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) helps reduce swelling (lymphedema) caused by a blockage in the lymphatic system that sometimes occurs after surgery, injury, or illness. This modality incorporates an extremely light touch and because the lymphatic system runs so close to the surface, it may feel similar to a skin stretch. As MLD reduces edema in the body, it not only promotes faster healing but increases mobility and decreases pain.
Reflexology
Reflexology uses acupressure, typically to your feet and hands to help the body's own healing process and encourage relaxation. Reflexologists believe that the feet and hands (and sometimes ears) can act as maps for the full body and that working with reflex points (specific points on the foot for example), will refer to and communicate with different organ systems and structures elsewhere in the body.
Reiki
Reiki is an energy work modality promoting relaxation and balance and depending on the individual case may involve gentle touch or no touch at all. Reiki may be especially appropriate for people in acute pain, suffering from PTSD, or looking for therapeutic care but who are averse to or not ready for touch.
Shiatsu
Shiatsu, developed in Japan and based in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is traditionally performed through loose clothing, on a mat on the floor, and does not use oils. With an eye toward tension relief and balance throughout the body, the practitioner uses acupressure and passive stretching along the body's twelve energetic meridians.
Sports Massage
Sports massage is designed to help athletes and active people throughout their training process. The techniques used during sports massage are focused on injury prevention, healing and recovery, flexibility, and performance enhancement.
Thai Massage
Thai Massage, a modality with its roots in both Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), has often been described as a lazy person's yoga - and with good reason. Typically practiced fully clothed on a mat on the floor, Thai massage combines passive stretching and manual pressure and looks a lot like someone doing yoga to you.
Partner Massage Lesson
We don’t always have the time or budget for a professional massage so learning how to give an effective massage at home would help a lot with daily aches and pains. With a Partner Massage Lesson at Melt you and a partner can learn with a professional. During this session, an LMT will demo and teach each of you basic massage practices and, as always at Melt, customize the session to meet your needs. This 90-minute lesson is broken down into two 45-minute segments, giving each of you equal time to learn techniques and practice on each other under your LMT's guidance.
single session: $250
a note about “couples massage” requests:
We don’t currently have a room in our studio that can comfortably accommodate two massage tables at once but you’re welcome to book simultaneous sessions with your partner. Or scroll up to read about the partner massage lessons.
Home Visits
We have therapists in our network that can provide massage in your home. Once we know the specifics of your request, we will reach out to the therapists to see if their availability lines up. In addition to the service costs, which are $75 more than our in-studio rates, we ask that you cover the therapist's transportation to and from your location. We will price that out ahead of time so you know the total cost before confirming.
